  1.Members and registered students of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (the Institute) and Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians (HKIAAT) are entitled to use the Institute's library services.
 
  2.Admission to the library is granted upon successful authentication of identity by the Institute's access control system or presentation of valid identification documents which include the HKICPA Affinity Credit Card, the Institute Membership Card/Student Card, HKIAAT Membership Card/Student Card or Hong Kong Identity Card of members/registered students.
 
  3.Library materials are for reference use only and are not for loan. Items must not be removed from the library.
 
  4.Books should be left on the desks after reading for library staff to re-shelve them.
 
  5.Photocopying facility is available at a charge of HK$1.00 per A4 page. Users must observe the Hong Kong Copyright Ordinance when using the photocopying machine. Illegal reproduction of copyrighted materials including books, journals, audio-visual materials, computer software and copyrighted internet resources etc. are strictly prohibited. Users are fully responsible for any legal consequences which may arise from copyright infringement.
  6.Silence must be observed and the use of mobile phones and pagers is strictly prohibited when using the library. Talking loudly or making noises so as to cause disturbance to others are not allowed.
 
  7.Eating, drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited.
 
  8.Books and personal property left unattended in tables or reading places will be considered as reservation of a reading place. Library staff reserves the right to remove any item(s) used for such purpose and other users may take up any such reading places. The library staff will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of unattended personal belongings.
 
  9.Mutilation, defacing and theft of library materials are offences which will be liable to criminal charges and/or disciplinary actions by the Institute. Payment must be made to cover all damages. The library reserves the right to inspect any items in the possession of the library users when they leave the library.
 
  10.Computers located in the library are provided for research and educational purposes. They are not to be used for any other activities including (but not limited to) playing computer games, accessing websites of a personal nature such as chatrooms and blogs, accessing any objectionable material or performing any illegal activities.
 
  11.The librarian or library staff on duty reserves the right to exclude any person who infringes the Library Regulations or who acts in a way which interferes with the convenience of other library users or with the normal operations of the library.
